The Department of Geology and Geophysics is dedicated to the scientific study of all aspects of the solid Earth, from fundamental processes that shape it to knowledge that benefits society. Our graduates make significant contributions in environmental geology, energy solutions and understanding seismic hazards, as well as contributing fundamental new knowledge about the physical, chemical and biological aspects of the Earth. Future Texas A&M University geologists and geophysicists are essential to our economy, our environment and our changing world.

Michel T. Halbouty ’30 Postdoctoral Fellow in Geology & Geophysics

The Department of Geology and Geophysics at Texas A&M University is pleased to announce the Michel T. Halbouty ’30 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geology and Geophysics. Candidates should have a PhD in Geology, Geophysics or related field by the time of this appointment, be within 5 years of their PhD and have not held a permanent or tenured faculty position. Postdoctoral Fellows will be based at the Texas A&M (TAMU) College Station campus and they will engage with department faculty and students in research.
