Biography
Peggy Sue Carris is a fifth-year doctoral student and Graduate Diversity Fellow studying education and race and ethnicity. Her current research focuses on first-generation college students and their sense of belonging in higher education. Her previous research examined educational inequalities in the U.S.-Mexico Border region. She previously earned a B.S. in sociology from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, with a minor in environmental justice.
