Internationalization Mission Statement
The Department of Communication at Texas A&M values the diverse cultural backgrounds and research foci of our students and faculty. We are committed to developing students’ intercultural competence through fostering an environment where students think critically about the interconnectedness of the local and the global and develop the ability to examine issues from multiple perspectives. We seek to highlight research that contributes to this goal and recognize the contributions of our international undergraduate and graduate students and faculty.
Internationalization Committee
The Department of Communication’s Internationalization Committee seeks to facilitate the department’s goals of educating and producing global citizens for an increasingly globalized world through: fostering opportunities for students and faculty to engage in cross-cultural educational exchanges; showcasing faculty and student research on issues relevant to global media/communication and scholarship on communication processes in international contexts; helping faculty internationalize their syllabi; and being an ally to international undergraduate and graduate students and helping them to exercise agency.
