Did you graduate from TAMU with a BA or BS in either SCOM, COMM, or TCMS?
Interested in giving back to your department, college, and university?  The Alumni Advisory Board is a council of former Communication undergraduate students, who meet twice a year to advise the Department of Communication on matters of career education for students, alumni relations, development issues, and fundraising. In our effort to maintain quality teaching and research, the department and us members of the Alumni Advisory Board seek your support to build the Communication Endowment for Excellence, an unrestricted endowment. Income from this fund will provide the department with flexibility to improve undergraduate recruiting and advising, honors programs, and faculty support for teaching and research. Each of us board members has made a personal financial five-year commitment to this important endeavor because it will impact the education of the current and future students, as well as increase the value of the degree we received. We are asking that you make a similar commitment. The members of the Alumni Advisory Board have also volunteered to be contacts and resources for anyone with questions about the marketability of a Communication degree or with a need for advice in matter associated with communication.

Endowment Campaign

In our effort to maintain quality teaching and research, the department and members of the Alumni Advisory Board seek your support to build the Communication Endowment for Excellence, an unrestricted endowment. Income from this fund will provide the department with flexibility to improve undergraduate recruiting and advising, honors programs, and faculty support for teaching and research.

Each of the board members has made a personal financial five-year commitment to this important endeavor because it will impact the education of the current and future students, as well as increase the value of the degree we received. We are asking that you make a similar commitment.

You can make a difference in many ways! To contribute to the Communication Endowment for Excellence via credit card go to the Texas A&M Foundation website and select ‘Direct my gift to a specific account within the College of Liberal Arts’ and then ‘Communication Endowment for Excellence’ from the pop-up box. Enter the amount you wish to contribute (minimum donation of $25), and choose whether you would like to make a one-time gift or support the endowment ongoing with a monthly, quarterly or annually recurring donation. All other boxes can be filled in if they apply to you, but are not required. In addition, an Electronic Fund Transfer makes for convenient monthly or quarterly payments through your checking account. You may also have a matching fund program through your employer that enables you to double or even triple your gift. Please send your Electronic Fund Transfer form or check to the Department of Communication with checks made payable to the Texas A&M Foundation with the notation of Communication Endowment for Excellence.

Thank you for your Aggie spirit, loyalty to Texas A&M, and support for the Communication Endowment for Excellence.

Note: This endowment initiative, which provides an income stream in perpetuity, is a separate and distinct activity from the annual fund sponsored by the Association of Former Students.
